Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961 at Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onesti] Romania). She was first to achieve a perfect 10 during an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics trainer who would become Comaneci's coach later on found her around the age of six. She participated in the Romanian Junior Championships and finished 13th. She won in 1970. At her first international event in 1972 at a pre-Olympic Junior event for countries of the communist bloc she won three gold medals and in 1973 and 1974 she became an the all-around junior champion. Her first senior competition in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva, the five-time European champ winning four gold medals and one silver. She took home the American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first woman to perform a reverse double salto, which is dismounting from the uneven bars that are parallel. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career in the entertainment business began during her teens when she began performing as a figure skater alongside her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a US citizen born September 6 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol was a part of the world of entertainment during her teenage years. She began her professional career by performing figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment show Ice Capades. They featured staged ice skating shows.
