Richard B. Cheney an eminent public servant and entrepreneur is vice-president of the United States. Cheney, a well-known face on the scene of Washington politics, has served under four presidents from the United States. George W. Bush is the fourth. Bush selected Cheney as his vice presidential running mate in July 2000, citing Cheney's insight judgment and experience. Dick Cheney is a former chief of staff to presidents, was a member of Congress as well as also secretary of Defense. He's a man of integrity and is respected by Republicans and Democrats. Cheney said that his job in the Bush administration will be that of an open but discreet advisor. Cheney has stated in accepting his appointment as Republican vice president that he hopes to be a president candidate who can work cross-partisan and to collaborate with their political adversaries with respect and in a common cause. Richard Bruce Cheney (born January 30, 1941) was the son Richard Herbert Cheney. His mother, Marjorie Lauraine Dickey had been married to Richard Herbert Cheney for over thirty years. He relocated into Casper, Wyoming with his family in the year 13 when he turned thirteen. He was raised by his father who worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture was the director of the conservation district located in Casper.
